Romans 8:16-29 (KJV and NKJV)
The whole creation waited for the manifestation of the sons of God. Tells us something about all creation waiting in expectation, eagerly for the manifestation of the sons of God, not Jesus. Earnest expectation. Another term used here… the glorious liberty… the only thing that should happen here on earth… the only thing the Christian hasn’t received is the glorification of his body… we are going to put on a new body from heaven and the bible tells us when it will happen. There will be a shout and the dead in Christ shall rise first… in the twinkling of an eye, we shall be changed and put on incorruption.
Currently, we are carrying in this earthen vessel, a treasure, the glory and power of God. There are things that are… expect you get to see them in the word, they are difficult to contemplate…
2 Corinthians 4:6
He has already shinned it in your heart. To give the light… this is happening in your spirit right now… this is resident in your body right now… the glory of God is in you right now. A truth and reality. You are truly the temple of God today. He’s not waiting for that new body to come. The excellency of the body inside you… extraordinary power inside you.
It’s not of yourself. It is so important because the church has transited from the babyhood level unto maturity. When the Lord shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory. This is the last generation. If you look at… step back a bit.
2 Corinthians 4:3
Satan is blinding the eyes of people from seeing the light of the gospel. Aion… this world. It refers to the cause of life, age in which men function, system of the world, an era, the cause of ones life and the systems and structures of that time. The way the world is right now, structures and systems are under Satan. This is his system. They are based on falsehood. It will never give you peace. The are created by the god of this world.
Jesus said, you are of your father, devil. You have to be born again and have new life. It’s impossible for them to deliver peace. Peace is from God. When the world create organizations for peace, prosperity, etc., they can’t deliver… poverty alleviation will not happen, it’s set up by Satan, the cause of the problems of this age. Even now, there are leaders of nations, the deep state are trying to create a new era… they don’t have that chance… what’s happening now is that there is a struggle because God’s people are waken up… Satan is running the Aion, not the cosmos…
There are certain words that are translated world… Aion, cosmos, etc.. it is the context and the truth revealed or communicated that will define what they refer to by the writer or speaker.. for example…
John 16:33
These are the words of Jesus… In the world (cosmos), you will have tribulations… the cosmos refers based on the application and what you are communicating at that time… here, Jesus is referring to the cosmos, the world in its natural order, the world as a globe, planet and the inhabitants, all living inhabitants of the earth. It covers the world in that way… some others words can refer to the world without humans, the world kingdom, like the Roman Empire because it was the world empire… Here Jesus was referring to the world in a wider level and all that is going on. The broader application that borders and covers all of the kingdom and those operating it…
Matthew 4:5
The occasion of the temptation of Jesus for forty days. All the kingdoms of the cosmos and the glory of them. Satan showed Jesus, all the kingdom of the cosmos and the glory of them and said that all these this he will give Jesus… it was possible… Satan didn’t ask the trees to worship him… The Spirit led Jesus to be tempted. It was possible for Jesus to fall for that temptation. It was a real temptation. Had it been impossible for Jesus to fall for it, it wouldn’t have been real temptation… I’ll give you everything if you fall down and worship me…
Another writer’s perspective…
Luke 4:5
All this power and glory I will give you, it has been given unto me and I will give it to whoever I will. Satan got if from Adam. Satan got the cosmos. He got everything and the glory of it. There is a difference here… the world here in this verse is not cosmos… oikonume… Satan was in charge of all the kingdom under the world government. I will give it to anyone I choose. He couldn’t give the cosmos because it was under liaise. Adam had dominion over the cosmos but could not deliver it. Satan could give the authority of the government of the world. Remember that in Revelation, Satan will give power and authority to the beast. Jesus turned it down, but the antichrist will accept it. Jesus was God in flesh.
The antichrist will worship Satan and will command the whole world to worship as well. Jesus was tempted and won on this occasion.
Luke 4:6-7
Satan left Jesus for a season.
John 12:31-35
How they heard a voice from heaven that spoke to Jesus. This was going to be the last major preaching of Jesus to the crowd. Now is the judgment of this world. Krisis is the word judgment… now is the crises moment, the crucial moment of decision. The world is hanging in a balance… the turning point… the song… lift Jesus higher, lift him high for the world to see… I, if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me, signifying what death he will die… They understood Jesus was talking about death and crucifixion… crisis moment… what happens from here? He goes into chapter 13…
John 13:1-
His hour had come for Him to leave this world. Jesus knowing that the Father has given all things into His hands… It’s up to you whatever decision you make as a man, not as God… verse 3, it’s no longer in the Hands of the Father, but up to Jesus, that’s why Jesus said it is crisis point…
Jesus was focused at this point. Jesus made up His mind. Have you made up your mind… many will give up their faith to save their lives and things… He that endureth to the end shall be saved… Jesus knowing that all things are now in His hands, what is He going to do?
Luke 9:51-53
He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem. He was resolute. They could see it on His face… remember when they tried to persuade Paul not to go to Jerusalem, he said that he wasn’t only ready to go there but to die if possible. He set his face like his Master Jesus Christ… Jesus knew what death He will die but yet set His face steadfastly to go there… the Samaritans didn’t receive Him, it was obvious even on His face, it registered in his visage… He knew that the Father was depending on Him. It was a crises hour.
How have you made a resolution? it’s important that you’ve decided in your life. He steadfastly set His face. He decided, I’m going to do it. I’m going to serve the Lord with my life, no matter what. Make a decision for Him, He made a decision for you. He could have changed His mind. What a life.
2 Corinthians 5:19
Here, He got it done. God was in Christ and reconciled the cosmos unto Himself. All things.
John 16:33
In me ye might have peace… the contrast between being in Christ and have peace and being in the world and have trouble. If any man be in Christ… Everything Jesus told them was in view of what was going to happen… He knew that it was time for Him to be received into heaven. I’m going but you can’t follow me now… you will come later on… He will going to the Father…
Cheer up, be of good cheer, I’ve overcome the world. All the things He had been talking to them had been tough. Be of good cheer. It wasn’t empty comfort. I have overcome the cosmos. Really? Did they really know what He was talking about? Of course not. They didn’t understand. I’ve overcome the world. Jesus is speaking faith. He set His face to go to Jerusalem. It’s all in His hands. He said cheer up, I’ve overcome. Trouble is in front. All those words were words of faith. He was committed. He said cheer up, I’ve won… they sportsmen that display that they’ve won…
Jesus goes and laid down His life… you know the story… how far can I take you? What’s all happening here… I told you that God will the whole world to Abraham… that’s true even though some theologians struggle with it… why what Jesus did is so important…
Romans 4:13
He should be the heir of the world. That’s it, it’s right there… he got it through the righteousness of faith. Heir here is an inheritor. A possessor. The promise that he should be an inheritor, possessor of the world… if language means anything… Abraham, why is his subject so important? It’s more than the blessing… he is a friend of God… there’s a reason for it. God called Himself I’m the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God made a covenant with Noah, but not like the one with Abraham. There were great men… what was different…
Genesis 15:7-10
God is talking to Abram… God, how will I know that I’ve inherited it… God told him what to do… he dissected the animals… let’s see the implication of what Abraham did… Jeremiah 34:13-16… you have done right that your fathers didn’t do. They reneged on their promise… what did they do that was so terrible? The reneged on a promised that was based on covenant… they signed a blood covenant… they passed through the parts… that meant life to life.. they swore to that covenant and say let me be like these animals. It was a blood covenant… it meant life for life.. God couldn’t say just pay back… they’ve got to pay everything… all that they were. They were going to lose everything because they pledged everything.
Genesis 15:9; 17
God said, take for me these animals… God Almighty Himself passed through those piece. God swore with Abraham… Abraham came into a relationship with Abraham that nobody else ever did. He swore by Himself. Life for Life. Abraham had access to everything that God ever own… God then had access to everything that belonged to Abraham.
Genesis 17:1-6
We have a covenant now but Abraham didn’t have any child then… I will apply my covenant between me and thee and multiply thee exceedingly… this is what will happen when I apply the covenant. This was an extraordinary thing… Thy seed in their generation… did you see that? In their generation.. to thy seed after thee… This is so important…
God tested Abraham. He wanted to know if Abraham was going to keep to the covenant… give me your only son… Abraham was pledged to apply that blood covenant.
Hebrews 11:17-18
By faith Abraham offered up Isaac… in Isaac shall they seed be called… like welcoming a guest to take care of the guest… Abraham received Isaac back from the death in a figure. God knew that His own Son will be Abraham’s son. Now then knew that Abraham had passed the test. God’s Son will be Abraham’s Son.
Genesis 21;12
In Isaac shall thy seed be called. The seed is not about so many seeds… Galatians 3:16… and to thine seed which is Christ.
The seed of promised to Abraham was just one seed. That seed will have several generations. If that seed was not going to be that seed, who then will that seed be? Relax. He told you that the seed is Christ. Galatians 3:16, you can’t take it away from the bible, it’s there. Pastor narrated the story of his experience in Israel, and how Peter preached to the Jews. This idea that it was difficult to preach to the Jews… Did Jesus say so, did the Apostles say so… The promises were made to Christ. The Jews don’t need your sympathy but your love. They are strong…
Galatians 3:27-29
As many as are baptized into Christ have put on Christ… neither Jews or Gentiles, male or female… Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.
Romans 4:14-16
The promise might be sure to all the seed…
What is all these? What does it mean? Oh God!!! Seed of Abraham…
Genesis 14:18-20
Melchizedek, the priest of the most high God. The king of righteousness… how could the king of righteousness ruled over people that weren’t righteous… Blessed be Abraham of the Most High God… like when the angel hailed Gideon before Gideon went to war… Here Melchizedek called Abraham a name that made him treble. He called Abraham the possessor of heaven and earth.
Hebrews 7:1
Abraham cut a blood covenant with God… if you Christ, you are heirs . king of peace, king of righteousness. Without anybody coming from him… hey Fortune Amartey Phronesis, possessor of heaven and earth.. I’m Abraham Seed. The whole world is mine!!! The nations belong to us in Christ Jesus… we proclaim the name of Jesus around the world. It belongs to Jesus… we are heirs, possessors of everything…
It’s time to reign…
