Service title: Honoring the Lord Jesus as Lord of your life

Pastor Earnest Teaching:

Philippians 2:9-11 (NKJV)

Verse 9 talks about the great power that God gave to Jesus Christ; after He had died and resurrected

God has highly exalted Jesus that at the mention of His name, all things bow

How much do we revere Jesus Christ?

How much do we honor Him?

Have we come to a point where everything in our lives bows to the name of Jesus?

Does your talent, job etc. bow to the name of Jesus?

What do you give to Him; your leftovers or your best?

The Bible says at the name of Jesus all things bow; this is not something we negotiate

Have you come to that point where we recognize who Jesus really is?

Do you consciously recognize Him as the Lord of your life?

And so, when He makes a demand, you don’t negotiate

God is never wrong at any time

Everything that God does is perfect

Jesus should be the supreme of your life

His word should be number one

We are talking about honoring Jesus Christ

He came to serve

John 12:26 (NKJV)

1 Samuel 2:7-30 (NKJV), verse 9(MSG)

There is nothing that God cannot do

Sometimes people fight for positions that God has already given them

He is the Lord of everything and so being the Lord of everything there is nothing that He cannot do

The Pillars of the earth are God’s

He is not just the Owner but the Architect

And so, when He comes into your life, He can redesign your life

When He pulls the walls down, He will restructure your life

He is your God

He is your Lord and so recognize Him as your Master

Eli’s sons did not know God, neither did they honor God, nor the things of God

Samuel’s mom visited him once a year because she believed once he was living in the Priest’s house, it was enough; she had donated her son to God

God did not push them (the sons of Eli) to do what they were doing

It was their choice because they were raised in the Lord’s House yet they chose to do what they did

God expects us to honor Him for us to enjoy the blessings that come from honoring Him

How a lot of people walk out of the place that God wants them to be!

What does God desire from you?

What is it that God desires that you are holding on to?

It will only prevent you from enjoying what God has for you

The only thing that prevents people from being at the place where God wants them to be is when they do not give to God the honor that He desires

Anyone can make up their mind that they will not walk in the path that God has for them

This is because your destiny is in your hands

God gives us characters in the Bible to help us not deter from the path that He has for us
